- 10 ml Talisker
- 10 ml Honey syrup
- 10 ml lemongrass and ginger cordial
- 15 ml freshly squeezed lime
Method shaken and poured in ice
Growing up, my teacher at school was fond of the poem “lake isle of innIsfree” which describes the struggle and joy of a honeybee to produce every drop of honey.
Since then it’s always been in my mind. Inspired from this, I came up with this great concoction of smoky talisker, lemongrass and ginger cordial in my drink.
I always keep in mind to respect the complexity of the base spirit.
To serve, I had to choose an apparatus which compliments the drink and lets one experience the story behind coming up with this drink. It’s always about taste and experience that one feels while sipping every drop of the drink. It took me a long time to find this “honey comb cup” in the midst of this big city.
