Imagine all the suspense, action, drama and romance of the big screen in a glass with your favourite liquors’, spirits and wine. Doesn’t that sound exciting? Well, here’s how you make some movie inspired cocktails as demonstrated by World Class Bartenders.
Blood and Sandstormers
This one is inspired by the upcoming X-Men Apocalypse movie. For its core, it uses the Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch, it’s robust and full bodied just like the main character in the movie, Apocalypse. Apocalypse is always seen by the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse and that’s why this drink uses 4 distinct elements to tie in with the theme. Wondering what they are? Take a look for yourselves.
Bulleit Bourne Sipper
This one draws inspiration from the Bourne Identity series. It has all the suspense in it, delivers just the right amount of punch and tops it off with a tinge of romance. As its base is the Bulleit Bourbon because the drink has strong characteristics just like the hero of the movie, Jason Bourne. It’s concise and to the point yet has a touch of romance with hints of honey, lemon and cinnamon.
Here’s one that’s inspired by everybody’s favourite British Spy, James Bond. That’s right, it’s inspired by the recently released James Bond: Spectre. And surprise! It’s not the Martini with two olives. It’s based on the Don Julio Blanco, with a robust supporting cast of bitters and Vermouth among others to make it a thriller cocktail.
Night and Day
Here’s one that everybody has been waiting for with great anticipation. One part dark, the other part red and blue and both parts great. You guessed it right, Batman VS Superman. This drink has two distinct bases, just like the main characters in the movie, Ciroc Peach and Ron Zacapa rum, add just a tinge of lime and honey to the mix and you have a great cocktail.
If you’re a fan of Jennifer Lawrence, you’re absolutely going to love this drink. That’s right, it’s inspired by The Hunger Games: Mockingjay. This one is a twist on the Bloody Mary, with a cocktail snack that fits right into the drink. What’s more, if it’s inspired by The Hunger Games, it’s got to have something to do with that fiery dress that Jennifer Lawrence adorns in the movie right?, let’s not spoil the surprise yet!
Snow White Lady
Mirror, mirror behind the bar, which is the best cocktail you’ve known so far? Well, this drink needs no further introduction. It’s inspired by the second part of the snow white movies, The Huntsman. As pretty as Chris Hemmingway and as lethal as Charlize Theron from the movie, this drink perfectly blends fantasy with action.
The force awakens with this cocktail. Yes, there has to be a cocktail that’s made for all the Star Wars fans out there, and here it is – the Talisker Trooper. Scotch with an out-of-the-world taste, a few drops of vermouth and some bitters for all the unexpected moments in the movie. May the force be with you!
Mommy knows best how to make a great cocktail, we’ll it might hold true in case of cocktails but in the movie Mother’s Day, we wouldn’t be so sure. This drink is inspired by the action thriller Mother’s Day. It’s based on Champagne and has a tinge of Ciroc Vodka.
