All the members of Pune Warriors came and enjoyed the party but unfortunately no one turned up from the Mumbai Indian's team with the exception of Kieron Pollard, but he didn't really seem to be enjoying much of it, may be due to the fact that loosing had struck real hard. When I asked the reason behind none of the players turning up I was informed that most of the cricketers had already left for their respective homes.
The party started with bang and a very fashionable one indeed. Mr. Aslam Khan showcased his gorgeous designs. Some of the models were beautifully decked up in white fishcut lehengas and beautiful cholis with very fine and elegant silver work on it. Carol, gracias. Candy and Aanchal Kumar being the show stoppers didn't fail to add their glamourous effect on the party, even though two of them left pretty early.
The cricketers too seemed to be enjoying the show a lot. Steve Smith, the man of the match arrived early along with his colleagues. Jhonty Rhodes seemed to be pretty much enjoying his drinks and when he was called on stage he jumped on the stage pulling his pants!
Match officials and a lot of personalities involved in cricket were seen chilling & catching up on the most exciting moments and cricketers were busy posing up for clicks with their fans. All were friendly and ready to get clicked when some one asked them.
The second part of fashion show was of Rehanas designs. The models sashayed down the ramp with lovely Indo-Western outfits and set the temperature soaring at the do. Rehana could be awarded most spirited person in the party there although tough competition was being given by Luke Wright. She had worn a lovely outfit which not only looking hot but very sexy too. Aslam Khan was in a traditional blue kurta pyjama with embroided jacket was looking equally hot.
The cricketers had been enjoying the Signature drinks throughout the party especially the Vladivar Vodka, Black Dog Whiksy, Jura, Whyte and Mackay and two newly added Signature cocktails - The apple hook and Jealous maiden. All of them were dressed very casually not failing to follow the party rules most of them stuck to the shades of grey, black and white. It was really great meeting Allan Donald and Jonty Rhodes as they are not only great players but amazing human beings too.
It was a fun filled night with yumilicious starters like chicken shwarma warpsters, crisp lamb in pita pockets, golden fried prawns, tulsifani murg tikka, samosa, etc.
Many models and designers attended the party were busy enjoying their Signature mocktails and shaking their legs along with music and busy chatting and gossiping with their friends.
After the fashion show all the cricketers couldn't really resist the foot taping music played by the DJ and soon hit the dance floor dancing with a lot of enthusiasm and zeal. It was a rocking night indeed. The bartenders kept dishing out fancy cocktails and tasty starters on request and kept the crowd in high spirits!
I'm pretty sure that everyone enjoyed every bit of this Signature After Match Party and the memories of the party are not going to fade away any time soon.
Overall it was a shining event that saw a perfect match of gaiety, glee and glam.
