Whenever you walk into a party, especially one at a friend's house, you will always meet a mix of people. Most of them you will probably know if you are close to the host, but sometimes you end up meeting a completely new set of people. At every party, you will notice the couples more than anyone else because of their specific behavior and it's fun to try and slot them into a different category.
PDA - There will always be that couple that's heavily into public display of affection. The ones who are all over each other and make it a point to overly touch, kiss and hug. While they are extremely comfortable with each other and their display of love and affection, it's a little difficult for everyone else who doesn't want to see them like that, and at most times makes the situation uncomfortable for everyone else.
Stuck to each other - While the PDA couples are terrible, these are not far behind. They are the sort of couple that only talk to each other and are lost in each other. They don't really mix with everyone else or really enjoy the party, they just sit in a corner by themselves and canoodle, oblivious to everyone else.
The Jokers - This is the sort of couple that everyone loves. The real life of the party. A couple who's always laughing, joking and having fun. They both have a great sense of humor and make other people feel incredibly comfortable with them. They don't take themselves too seriously and are extremely easy to get along with.
The Departed - These are the type of couples that you don't realize immediately that they are in fact a couple. This is because they're never really around each other. The guy is a real guy's guy and hangs with the boys and the girl tends to be shy and hangs around with all the girls (the other girlfriends and wives). They're not the loud joking couple and certainly there's no PDA or hand holding, but they enjoy their time separately and are more comfortable with their same sex counterparts.
The Stag (with wife but pretends he's single) - There will always be one guy at a party cracking lewd or obscene jokes, knocking back drinks and yapping loudly. To some, he might seem like the fun guy everyone wants to gravitate towards, but to others, he might seem mildly obnoxious and at times even offensive. What's funnier - everyone assumes he's single but later realise his wife or girlfriend is close by but not taking part in his shenanigans. His behaviour is almost as if he's footloose and fancy-free with no significant other till you notice the girlfriend or wife smiling politely and mildly embarrassed.
