Guys, dressing for parties is not as straightforward & simple as most men would wish. I know quite a few of my guy friends who spend a lot of time changing in and out of shirts, sometimes taking even more time than their girlfriends! But now I am here to help you out, so that the next time you hit a party, you get noticed and to stand out.

There is a lot to consider, keeping in mind that eventually there will be ample photographic evidence of your outfit online. So you need to be sure that you're wearing something flattering. A party is not the place to take a risk. A risk is something you CAN take only if it is a themed event.
Why should we take efforts to dress up in a party?? Because we meet, socialize; sometimes check out prospective partners and for all this you want to look like a better presentable version of yourself. Before we take on how to dress in a party, the first and most important thing is to keep yourself groomed! Basically this means that you have to look and smell clean. Put some effort in your hair, trim your beard, make sure your breath smells fresh and you smell great. Because you never know what the night may bring. No girl will look at a man who appears at a party looking like he just woke up under a bridge. A groomed appearance makes a better impression.
There are 3 things to consider before deciding on your outfit for an evening out. The formality of the event, how you accessorize and the fit of your outfit.
1. Determine the formality of the event you are headed to. While you definitely want to be dressed well all the time, you should also be dressed appropriately for the event. There are some events you can head to with a nice t-shirt and denims and then there are some that require you to wear a suit or a blazer. If it is a formal event the dress code should be stipulated on the invitation but, if it isn?t, you should call the organizers and ask them to clarify.

2. Accessorize your outfit with the basics which include a nice watch and matched shoes and belt. Consider a hat, if you are a hat person. To be on the safer side I?d say men should steer clear of anything blingy and too bright. While dressing up its important to remember to be seasonal. So if its winters do layer your outfit with a jacket/coat. Plus it comes in handy to be chivalrous when you offer it to your girl friend.
3. The fit is what everyone is picky about, and you should be. A good fit highlights the positives in your build and hides your negatives. Ever since slim-fits have come many men swear by them without realizing that a slim fit shirt is not for everyone specially if you have a little beer belly under there. So wear clothes that fit you well, and it should never look like the buttons are going to pop any second.
If you are confused, keep it simple. It?s always better to be safe than sorry. Have a few of your favourite combos ready and handy. A classic outfit that works well for everyone is a pair of blue jeans and a white semi-formal shirt with folded long sleeves. The other must have would be a sharply cut suit for a black tie event, a pair jeans with a nice blazer, and if you want to experiment I?d recommend an Indo-western embroidered jackets and bandgalas for that Indian touch.
So go on and fashion up like a man & happy partying!!!
