The big news trending off late – Restaurateur, Zorawar Kalra has replaced Sanjeev Kapoor on the 5th season of Master Chef India as one of the three judges on the show - he is sharing the panel with Chef Vikas Khanna and Kunal Kapoor. His television unveiling has caused a stir amongst the hedonists who’d heard of him and his colossal brand but for the first time now would be able to see him mentor the contestants. Known for his immaculate taste in gastronomy, Zorawar is ready with knife-edge excitement to fling himself into the show ground with insurmountable ease.
So, how different would the show, that aired its first episode on the 1st October '16, look and feel with Zoravar overseeing the tables:
Glocal Food is the focus
This edition of the Master Chef India focuses on the Glocal food with molecular gastronomy twist – it’s only fair to, hence, bring the mastermind behind Farzi Café and Masala Library as evaluator.
The Desi Wizard
Zorawar Kalra, the prince of Indian Cuisine, has set out to build a legacy that aims at taking Indian cuisine to universal setting – his key focus is going to be on schooling contestants to develop high standards of art d’ objects that coalesce local ingredients with molecular gastronomy – things never seen ahead of now, unquestionably not tasted.
Zorawar, being the artist he is, will bring a remarkable perspective that’ll add value to the show – from the setting of a dish, presentation, techniques, modernity and finesse – he’d look into the overall staging. Afterall, the competition is larger and enhanced this time with combats happening even outside India in other parts of the world.
The grooming of the contestants under the maverick himself will be something to look out for this time. As contestants have swarmed in from all walks of lives leaving their customary jobs to realize their dreams of becoming full time chefs or restaurateurs themselves, Zorawar, his team along with his chefs as well (who will come on the show to steer contestants achieve perfection) will rally round to maneuver them in that direction.
