VH1 Supersonic Club Nights & Instead Presents: Paper Planes feat. GANZ (Netherlands), Atune, Gurbax & Kampai @ The Humming Tree.
*Gates open at 8.
GANZ (otherwise known as Jordy Saamena) from The Netherlands was born with a love for hip hop and electronica. After his critically acclaimed debut "Purple Cwtch E.P." dropped on Terrorhythm in 2013, GANZ has been on somewhat of a global takeover mission. Having released a slurry of his trademark "Flips" of other people's tracks, remixing acts such as What So Not ,Flume, Hermitude, A-Trak, Alison Wonderland, RL Grime & Crystal fighters, which sky-rocketed him into the global bass music stratosphere, GANZ felt the time was right to start putting together some original music, releasing his “Dino War EP” in April 2015. Being hard-headed made him decide to start his own label in August 2015 named “The Hard Headed”. His world-wide shows are a blend of Electronica and and Hip hop, with a majority of originals of himself.
Kunaal Gurbaxani aka GURBAX is definitely one of the freshest DJ/producers to watch out for in the Indian bass music scene. From metal-head to bass-head, his journey started in the city of Bengaluru, where he played guitar in punk rock and thrash metal bands. Now, a self-taught DJ and Ableton-certified producer from Dubspot School of Music Production in New York City, he has played shows in and around Atlanta and NYC including at a recent performance at Havana Club (rated the #1 nightclub in Atlanta).
Kampai is a Future Bass, Trap and Jersey Club DJ based out of Bangalore. He brings the world of bass music into life with quirky sets and music which will leave your head popping up and down. Having started off DJing only recently, and being influenced by a wide range of sounds and genres of music, Kampai is always up for experimentation in his sets. Primarily a Future Bass and Trap enthusiast, Kampai is aiming to push boundaries in the Indian electronic music scene by introducing the Future Bass sound through his DJ sets. His Influences are San Holo, Rustie, AWE, Hudson Mohawke, Flume, Graves, Alison Wonderland, Pusher, BeauDamian, G Jones, Jai Wolf, MR Carmack and Sam Gellaitry to name a few.
Asif Wahid aka Atune, a young and unstoppable Indian warhorse holding the baton of Hindustani Classical Music torching up the Industry with soulful music. For all his musical aspirations, it just took a year to assert himself as a dominant player of the Indian Electronic Music Industry making him one the very few who has performed with International heavyweights like Sander Van Doorn, Jerome Isma-ae, Moti, Sandro Silva, Quintino, Hard Rock Sofa, MightFools, Jordy Dazz & A-rock. A visionary like Zeus, he had co-ignited an Art-Music Festival called “Boom Shankar Festival” featuring an eclectic mix of performers & a taste of the GEN-X culture offering something for everyone.
