About the Workshop Level : FUN!! Join as we gather for this exciting session of learning from the best! This session will introduce you to the world of making cocktails with Mixologist Anuj Mehta! Introduction of Cocktail Class – Be guided through the background and concepts of mixology & cocktail making and learn fundamental techniques. Make 4 Classic Cocktails – Every participant will make four inspiration cocktails behind the fully stocked and equipped cocktail making bar. Classic Cocktails that you’ll be taught: Mojito: A Cuban classic with fresh mint, tart lime, sweet cane sugar and soda for a light a refreshing cocktail on a hot summers day! Whiskey Sour: Whiskey, lime and triple sec shaken with egg white and bitters for a sophisticated cocktail served in a salt rimmed glass Cosmopolitan: This classic was made popular by the show Sex in the City, as it was the choice drink for the ladies. Tart cranberry, sour lime, sweet triple sec and vodka are blended for a perfectly pink martini. Bloody Mary: A brunch classic this blend of tomato juice, vodka, Worcestershire and Tobasco sauces, many claim this is the perfect cure for a hangover. Workshop Curator : Anuj Mehta Anuj with over 22 years experience, it’s no surprise that he got his start in the hospitality industry at the age of 14 working! Starting at Shari Punjab (his uncle's dhaba), Holiday Inn Hyderbad, until he was 21, industrial training at Krishna Oberoi, where he was selected to work for Raj Villas, Jaipur. Two years later he returned Hyderbad to work at the Taj Residency as a Junior Sous Chef before moving to Pune to work as a Sous Chef at The Holiday Inn. Another two years and then he found himself back in Hyderbad working at Touch Restaurant as the private chef for Nagarjuna (the actor). After a year in the private sector he decided the time was right to head on to new and different pastures, making his way to Bangalore where he became the Head Chef and Operational Manager of Opus Restaurant, after which he went on to work at Herbs & Spices before finding his way to his new home and family here at The Humming Tree.
