Stuart DaCosta (India) -
Studirt, a purveyor of infectious dance grooves and a feel-good atmosphere, Stuart is an ex-member of Jam-band Something Relevant (2003-2013). Having grown up on an eclectic collection of funk & jazz music with (George Clinton, Morris Day, Miles Davis) he pushes his love for jazz through an eager medium Electro Swing collection (Caravan Palace, Parov Stellar, Chinese Man and even some PostModernJukebox). And bringing the 20’s back in true gypsy style will be horn players Pawan Benjamin on alto sax and Ramon Ibrahim on the trombone.
Ramon Ibrahim (UK) -
Born in the UK of mixed Italian and Guyanese parentage, Ramon began playing music on the trombone at the age of 11. He'd switched to keys and piano a few years later and then
added vocals in his mid 20's. His extremely varied musical career covers playing and singing with bands in London pubs to touring the Scandinavian Pianobar circuit as a solo entertainer - to more recently, big "Bollywood" gigs all over the world. Ramon enjoys living in Mumbai and earns his keep as a session musician and music producer/ composer. He currently performs with The Bartender and fronts his own original SKA/reggae band - The Fanculos.
Pawan Benjamin (US) -
Saxophonist, Flutist, and Composer Pawan Benjamin, started his musical training at a young age in Madison, Wisconsin, receiving guidance and mentorship from jazz luminaries such as bassist, Richard Davis, AACM founder Roscoe Mitchell, and many others in the Madison area. In 2006 he left to attend the Manhattan School of Music, where he plunged headfirst intothe diverse music scene of New York City, performing and recording with musicians from around the globe, across genres from Jazz, Hip Hop, Nepali Folk, Indian Classical Music and beyond. Pawan has collaborated with artists such as Roscoe Mitchell, Ranjit Barot, Taufiq Qureshi, Rez Abbasi, Mike Stern, Candido Camero, Bill T. Jones and many others. His performance credits stretch across the globe at venues including the Metropolitan Museum of Art (NYC), the Rose Theater and Dizzy's Club Coca Cola at Lincoln Center, the National
Center of Performing Arts in Mumbai India, Goa International Jazz Festival, the Bimhuis and Blue Note in Amsterdam, and countless other venues in between. Pawan is an active member of Brooklyn Raga Massive, a music collective which seeks to bridge the worlds of American and South Asian art of all kinds.
