Life’s a stage: This Chandigarh boy juggled college with theatre, acting, founding his college theatre group and even indulging his passion through street plays.
Small screen star: Ayushmann got noticed on TV at 17 and later went on to win Roadies 2. From performing for the small screen, he moved to being a VJ and a popular anchor for reality shows. His interests are wide and he’s been a T20 anchor as well.
Comic timing: Throughout his TV career, Ayushmann displayed his talent for humour – whether it was reality shows like India’s Got Talent or Stripped, which was a wacky take on the TV industry.
Bollywood calling: Ayushmann’s big break came with Shoojit Sircar’s zany and highly acclaimed film, Vicky Donor. He went on to win the Best Male Debut award for it. Later came Nautanki Sala, Bewakoofiyan and Dum Laga ke Haisha, all the roles earning applause. Ayushmann definitely has a knack of picking unconventional roles and owning them.
Singing in style: How many Bollywood actors can claim to sing and win award for it? Ayushmann Khurrana can. His ‘Pani da Rang’ from Vicky Donor went on to become a hit and won him an award. He also sang ‘Khamkhaan’ in Bewakoofiyan.
