Whenever someone says 10 years ago, how many of you still think of the late 90s or the early 2000s? Hate to burst your bubble, but 10 years ago was 2009, which really doesn’t feel like that long. And the movies from back then seem like you’ve only watched them recently.

But guess what, they’re a whole decade old!

Scroll through these popular 2009’s movies that turn 10 years in 2019 and get ready to feel old.

3 Idiots
Yes, it’s been a decade since we sat down in a theatre and applauded at yet another great Aamir Khan starrer. 3 Idiots was released during a time when most of us were either in college or around that age. It’s funny how we still feel like we can relate to those days when watching this film.

Kaminey
The popular track “Dhan Te Nan” from Kaminey remains a party playlist favourite even today. Can you believe we’ve been dancing to it for the last 10 years now!

Avatar
When it was released in 2009, James Cameron’s Avatar was said to be a film much ahead of its time. But now, the amazing sci-fi plot and graphics fits in just right.

Wake Up Sid
A fresh out of college Ranbir Kapoor trying to find his place in the world – sounds familiar? Maybe because we remember this movie so fondly or maybe because Ranbir might have a soft spot for such roles. *Cough..Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Tamasha, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil…Cough*

Dev.D
Anurag Kashyap might have made a bunch of super hits but when we think of his greatest movies, we still recall Dev.D, which was one of his earliest hits.

Wanted
Salman Khan sports the same badass character in Kick, Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Race 3 and many more films. Maybe that’s why Wanted seems like yet another recent “bhai ka picture”.

17 Again
17 Again was released when most of us were around that late teenage/early 20’s age and the truth is that we all mentally still feel the same. No wonder it’s hard to believe it’s been 10 whole years for this movie.

Sherlock Holmes
Benedict Cumberbatch might be the new Holmes on the block, but millennials will always remember Robert Downey Jr. as the original Sherlock, even if it is 10 years since the movie released.

Which among them is your favourite 2009 movie? As a tribute, round up your yaars and re-watch them this weekend.
