Leonardo DiCaprio opts for an unusual pause
Having endured “quite possibly the most difficult professional undertaking” of his life, while essaying the part of fur trapper Hugh Glass in ‘The Revenant,’ Leonardo DiCaprio has certainly earned some R&R. So, the fact that he just dished out $95,000 to go on a vacation doesn’t surprise us. But instead of luxe trappings and magical massages, Leo’s idea of a ‘pause’ is an expedition with an explorer in Mongolia!
“Leo is all set to test his wilderness skills in a real-life setting when he embarks on the 10-day journey to Lake Hovsgol,” says an insider, with expedition leader Johan Ernst Nilson adding: “When I do these trips, I take people out of their comfort zone in terms of the inner journey and get them doing things they normally wouldn’t do. If you push your limits, the reward will be much higher. It’s going to be amazing.”
If sleeping in a yurt and hunting with falcons is your thing then we’d have to agree — but that’s not us. The only part of Leo’s plan we concur with: he’s taking a chef along on the trip. What’s a pause if you’re hangry, right?
