1. A date with a Drunkessert - The Little Door

The Little Door or TLD as it is usually called is a friendly unpretentious neighbourhood bar. The vibe is fun and quirky, with an al fresco portion along with the promised Little Blue Door. It seems to have quickly become a favourite meet-up spot for those in the western suburbs with its location off New Link Road in Andheri West. At TLD, they have a huge emphasis on the food and serve multi cuisine fare that’s inspired from their travels to France, Italy, Turkey, Spain and Greece. Alcohol is a part of not just their drinks menu but also their food menu and they love to infuse it with main course or their Drunkesserts. That sounds like an ideal happy ending to a candle light dinner at The Little Door.

2. An affair with the east - Li Bai

This Asian bar and lounge is named after a famous romantic poet of the Chinese Tang Dynasty and offers drinks named “The Poet” mixed by their liquid artists featuring vodka, fresh green apple and li bai star anise syrup with lime juice! It also offers stunning views of the city in a plush setting, coated in mirrors and drapery in a colour palette that goes from burnt ochre to deep brown. There are special live jazz themed evenings through the week and popular music on weekends and even a rare Cigar Lounge in this restaurant. The Vietnamese Thai and Chinese food will make the perfect accompaniment to your candle light dinner.

3. A valentine with a view - Dome at Intercontinental

For a truly romantic experience nothing beats a candle light dinner at the top of the Intercontinental hotel overlooking the Arabian Sea and with the lights of the Marine Drive twinkling below. The crisp all white décor is a palate cleanser while there are live music performances that you can enjoy as you soak in the view from the 8th floor bar. There is an al fresco as well as an indoors section, with the gastronomic offerings' focus on sophisticated Japanese and international dishes, while the bar menu is focused on cocktails, wines, and even cigars. But with an unbeatable view of the Queen’s Necklace why would anyone want to sit inside?
