F1 legend and two-time world champion Mika Hakkinen is all set to take India by storm! Hakkinen is in India to encourage people to never drink and drink as part of #JoinThePact – a global initiative that has reached over 40 countries in the last nine years.
Explains Hakkinen, “It may sound simple, but unfortunately there are still people who think it is acceptable to drink and drive and I am determined to do all I can to help change these attitudes and I appeal to all to make the choice to Never Drink and Drive. We’re confident that people will get the message and make a personal commitment to get home safely and Join The Pact.” Hakkinen and the team are aiming to collect two million pledge to not drink and drive during their visit.
Fans are in for a treat – on 11th November, he will interact with fans at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. The next day Hakkinen will be at the Ambience Mall in Gurgaon and select fans will get the chance to be taken by him on a spin in his Mclaren Caparo T1 (super car), inspired by his F1 car.
This is Hakkinen’s first visit to India – and he revealed that while he has tried Indian food in Europe, he is looking forward to tasting some authentic, spicy Indian food during his time here.
