SREENATH ARAVIND PROFILE

published time By Liveinstyle published time 14 Apr, 2016 Share image 0 Shares

With India struggling to fill the void left behind by Zaheer Khan, Sreenath Aravind was handed his first India cap in a T20I against South Africa in 2015. Earlier, he had been in line to make his ODI debut in 2011, but a knee injury prevented him from playing. Arvind belonged to a Karnataka squad that proved itself to be a powerhouse in domestic cricket, by winning the Ranji Trophy, the Irani Cup and the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2013-14 and in 2014-15. Arvind is noted as steady left-arm seamer - and occasionally a left-arm spinner. Unfortunately, Arvind’s road accident injury prior to his first-class debut in 2008, has affected his consistency, despite having played over 100 matches across formats in domestic cricket ever since. Arvind has a first-class fifty to his name as well and has played three seasons of the IPL for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
