Among the nominees in this category were Asilo from Mumbai, Roxy (Kolkata), Air Café Lounge (Hyderabad), Shiro (Bengaluru), S Bar and Restaurant (NCR Delhi), Paasha (Pune), After Seven (Goa) and Chipstead Taj Coromandel (Chennai). The hard-fought competition was won by Asilo, rooftop bar at the St Regis in Mumbai.
Asilo has made a special place in the hearts and minds of the not-so-average Mumbaikar with its Cabana-styled seating and its stunning panoramic view. Perched on the 40th floor of the mid-town hotel, it has sprawling views of the Arabian Sea, the city’s race course and the ever-changing skyline. With a distinctly summery vibe, the setting is a great spot to catch the sunset or dance the night away while you gorge on their impressive grills selection and their delectable poison. The white décor, wooden flooring, and chic outdoor seating are embellished with a Mediterranean feel.
Asilo’s extensive 17-page bar menu boasts of an array of cocktails, wines, and liquor, so whatever is your preferred drink, you’re most likely to find it here. Their signature drinks include Asian Spice (a combination of Vodka, red chillies, fresh ginger, mint leaves and chopped cucumber) and El Presidente (a mix of vodka, gin, sambuca, cranberry and dry vermouth). The food menu is an amalgamation of Oriental and Mediterranean, and most of it cooked in front of the patrons off the Robata Grill. This fantastic bar is a must visit to seep in the bird’s eye view of the city amid your gruelling work schedule.
In anticipation of this year’s awards, Riyaaz Amlani, President, NRAI stated how, “Nightlife is an integral part of the cultural landscape of our country, and the NRAI is absolutely thrilled to support INCA in their endeavour to recognize and celebrate thought leadership in this space.” So get set for this year’s INCA show which is being touted as “bigger and better” than ever before.
