Home To Authentic North Indian Grub, Punjabi By Nature Is Bengaluru's All Time Favourite
True to its name, this plush “dhaba” style space is a Punjabi cuisine lover’s paradise with a surprise element to it: it also has a microbrewery. So spacious that it can host events as well, Punjabi By Nature’s ever growing popularity is tough to contend with. Even during weekdays, the space needs to be visited only after a reservation.
Divided into two sections, the bar area is where you can enjoy some home-brewed beer and some tantalizing cocktails, while at the restaurant, you are in for a real good time because it’s portions are so large (the size of two) that you can bring along your workplace team members for an evening to remember.
Serving some authentic Punjabi cuisines, and possessing a splendid ambience with some electro-jazz music in the background, here’s what’s special about this space in the heart of Bengaluru.
From their melt-in-mouth fare, go in for starters such as the Murgh Malai Kebab (chicken infused with Indian herbs cooked over charcoal), Boti Kebab (tender pieces of baby lamb basted with Indian herbs and spices), Fish Tikka (fresh river sole marinated in traditional yoghurt marinade with a hint of mustard oil, grilled in tandoor), or the Tandoori Prawns (prawns marinated in cheddar cheese and garlic marinade, cooked in tandoor). For the mains, you can opt for Meat Punjabi By Nature (a pbn specialty of tender pieces of mutton cooked in their special brown onion and tomato based gravy), Murgh Makhani (an all time favourite tandoor grilled tikka of chicken simmered in satin smooth tomato gravy), or the Tawa Chicken (succulent chicken cooked in tangy tawa sauce).
The special bit about their bar menu is that they have made an interesting effort to pair your delectable beers with various food items. And their signature Gol Gappa shots (vodka) are worth a try. You can also go in for their tantalizing cocktails that the bartenders will whip up for you in no time.
All in all, Punjabi By Nature is loads of fun and you’re bound to be reminded of Delhi while you’re there. Go visit!
