Though IPL 6 comes to close this Saturday, sports have a permanent spot in our lives. It influences everything from how we spend our evenings to the fashion choices we make.
The connection between the fashion and sports is on a multi-faceted level. Most men stick to track pants, jerseys and the likes of it when they have to be sportswear ready. By embracing this you can come across as unoriginal and anti-fashion. If you are planning to attend the IPL final or just hanging out with buddies on the night, here is what you can wear:
1.When you intend to create a sporty look remember the thumb rule, do not shroud yourself in sportswear from head to toe. Throw in a couple of pieces of sportswear in your ensemble and mix it with non-sportswear and you are good to go.
2.If you are comfortable with prints then pick out shirts, jackets or tees with sport-inspired prints. Team them with jeans, slacks or khakis. Wear your favorite running shoes or simply slip into a nice pair of loafers/brogues and be the trendiest person embracing your game love.
3.A must have is a varsity jacket. A modern day variant of this also called the bomber jacket is a must have in every sports enthusiasts wardrobe. These can be worn with T-shirts and teamed with shorts or trousers. These are key pieces in contemporary sports styling.
4.On a slightly formal note, team your tailored suites with tailored trainer trousers. Remember to wear them with a solid color shirt or T-Shirt. Stay clear of prints else it will look too mismatched. This can be your answer to casual Fridays at work.
Lastly concentrate on getting your accessories right. Invest in a pair of golf shoes and a pair of running shoes. Other accessories like berets, baseball caps, parkas and wrist bands add the necessary detailing. You can be dressed to look like a sensation, over the top dresser or rather like a realist by investing in few key elements. Mix it with other formal or casual wear and turn regular looks into sophisticated casualness to look like ancient Greek sporting sensation.
