Some Delectable Whisky Cocktails to Celebrate International Scotch Day

You need:

  • Black Dog Whisky 45ml 
  • Cherry liquor 15ml
  • Ginger ale 100 ml
  • Fresh cherries 3-4

How to make it: 

Pour all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake it. Place the cherries in a rock glass and pour the drink over it. Top it with ginger ale.


Whisky Business from Pa Pa Ya

Put all the ingredients in the shaker and shake it. Double strain and garnish with star anise.


Blue Fairy from Tippling Street, Juhu

You need:

  • Black and White Whisky 60 ml
  • Blueberry Vanilla bitter - 6 dashes
  • Vanilla syrup - 25 ml
  • Lime Juice - 25 ml
  • Ice ball and fresh Blueberries for garnish

How to make it 

Add lime juice and vanilla syrup to an Old Fashioned Glass. Put an ice ball in the glass. Put six dashes of blueberry vanilla bitter on the ice ball. Now pour the blended scotch whiskey in the copper mug and burn it with a blow torch and blaze it for 30 seconds. Lastly, pour the flamed copper blazed whiskey in the glass.


Head Hunter from Bastian, Bandra

You need:

  • Black and White Whisky 60ml
  • Fresh orange juice 15ml
  • Fresh lime juice 30ml
  • Fresh pineapple juice 45ml
  • Grenadine syrup 20ml
  • Dash of bitters

How to make it:

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice to the top and shake. Double strain into a tiki glass. Garnish with dehydrated orange and charred star anise.


Ok Go from One Street Over, Bandra

You need:

  • Black Dog Whisky 45ml
  • Brandy 15ml
  • Lavender syrup 15ml
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice 22.5ml
  • Angostora Bitters 2 dashes

How to make it: 

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Double strain into a coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon peel twist.


Coastal Cooler from Olive Bar & Kitchen, Bandra

  • Lemon wedges 2
  • Orange slices 2
  • Pineapple chunks 4
  • Johnnie Walker Whisky 50ml
  • Simple syrup 5ml  
  • Sugar rim on hi ball glass
  • Crushed ice
  • Orange twist for garnish

How to make it:
Muddle the fruit, add liquor and other liquids and shake gently. Pour over crushed ice.


The Lantern, from Social (Pan India)

You need:

  • Royal Challenge Whisky - 60ml  
  • Orange jam - 1 Tablespoon
  • Lime juice - 10 ml 
  • Sugar syrup - 10ml
  • Cherry (for garnish)

How to make it:

Put all the ingredients in the order mentioned above in a cocktail shaker. Shake it rigorously. Strain into an old fashion glass over ice cubes. Garnish with cherry.
