Our several annual film award shows may have a hard time getting Bollywood’s biggest stars together (no matter how much money they shell out), but Mukesh and Neeta Ambani do it effortlessly! Last week, decked out in their traditional best, Bollywood’s A-listers made a beeline for the Ambani home in South Mumbai. Though a festival marked the occasion, you’d be forgiven for thinking it was a party of epic proportions — with Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Shah Rukh Khan playing headliners. The Big B looked dapper as usual and arrived with wife Jaya, son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai and granddaughter Aaradhya. Aamir Khan made an appearance with wife Kiran Rao and it was a welcome family sighting, considering the megastar and his leading lady were stuck indoors until recently, having contracted swine flu.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone (looking stunning in a shimmering gold sari) walked in together and made no bones about it, but we were surprised to see Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani do the same. The young stars have kept up a guessing game with regard to their relationship status (though we’ve spotted them out together often), but this bout of posing for pictures while surrounded by press has us wondering if the comely couple have decided to go properly public with their budding romance.
On the subject of romance, Sanjay Dutt and wife Maanayata (who holidayed together in Europe recently) looked delightful in their matching traditional wear. Sachin Tendulkar and wife Anjali were picture perfect too, with Anjali opting to wear a very Maharashtrian nose-ring (befitting the occasion) and posing for photographs with son Arjun by her side. The young Tendulkar is already towering over both his parents and elicited many an ‘awwww’ for looking entirely adorable.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan posed for pictures with Anant Ambani; Priyanka Chopra arrived with mum Madhu in tow (we know they party together often); Arjun Kapoor and Suniel Shetty rocked their respective bushy beards; Jeetendra and Ekta Kapoor dropped by together and Karan Johar paused briefly for pictures before heading inside to pay his respects.
With hundreds of flowers hanging overhead and the stars out in full — both literally and metaphorically — this was certainly a night to remember!

Jhanvi Kapoor attended this Ambani bash too. Did you read about the hilarious afternoon Karan Johar spent with her mum Sridevi recently?
