‘The Affair’ star Dominic West hopes for an unusual pause in 2016

Dominic West

He has been acting for over 15 years and in the latter half of the last decade, Dominic West has hit his stride. The star of TV shows including ‘The Affair’ and American crime drama ‘The Wire,’ West has been so busy balancing television, film, theatre and his charitable commitments, that he turned down a role on ‘Game of Thrones’ in 2012 due to the amount of time he would have to spend away from his family! Without a doubt, Dominic West understands the need for a pause and savours every chance he has to get away from it all. His dream pause, he confesses, is to cross America on horseback. “I’d love to do it with my family now because I spend so much time away from them. I think it would be one of those things where you look back on your life and think: that was a great time!” says the actor.

Riding across the Western Hemisphere on a stallion is no mean feat, but with a couple of triathlons under his belt and regular yoga to keep him fit, West hopes to turn this challenging dream into reality. Will 2016 be his perfect ‘pause’ year? He certainly hopes so!
