Rihanna has built a career around bold moves and, as this year comes to a close, she continues the trend. Despite having sold over 200 million records worldwide, the ‘Diamonds’ hitmaker isn’t content to rest on her laurels. This month, RiRi announced the launch of her own beauty and stylist agency, saying it was “an organic thing” for her to do.
Called ‘Fr8me,’ the venture has Benoit Demouy (formerly of the agency Tracey Mattingly) playing managing partner. “Hair, makeup and styling play an important role in creativity. I am very involved with that part of my process, so this agency was an organic thing for me to do,” RiRi explains, with the élan of an entrepreneur who has already birthed several successful business ventures.
The Los Angeles-based agency plans to assist artists in booking commercials, editorial shoots, ad campaigns and red-carpet gigs, with a roster that already features Rihanna’s core crew — including her makeup artist Mylah Morales and wardrobe stylist Jason Bolden. Celebrity hair stylists Marcia Hamilton and Patricia Morales round off the numbers, but with ambitious RiRi leading from the front herself, bigger and better associations are destined!
