Raees Trailer SRK

If you are an SRK fan, you might be unable to contain your excitement at the moment and would be jumping with joy. After all, the highly anticipated Raees trailer starring the king Khan of Bollywood is finally out. And as expected it is already breaking the internet.

Here are 5 things that we love about it…

The trailer is laden with some whistle worthy dialogues, which finds an instant connect with a true-blue Bollywood fan. Even before the visuals of the Baadshah of Bollywood appears, the Raees trailer starts with a hard-hitting dialogue like – “Ammi jaan kheti thi koi dhandha chota nahi hota aur dhandhe se bada koi dharm nahi hota.” And with that one line, you are hooked on.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Nawaz, though makes a brief appearance in this trailer, which boasts of all the elements of an archetypical commercial film – action, drama and romance, he definitely adds a dash of drama in his signature style, making us crave for more.

The 80s Milieu
Raees is set against the backdrop of Gujarat in the 80s and revolves around a local don of Gujarat (SRK), who emerges into prominence due to his illegal alcohol trade in the state. Director Rahul Dholakia gives an impressive glimpse of that era through his trailer. Be it by means of the visuals, the background score or the hit ‘Laila O Laila’ number of 1979 that you get to hear briefly during the trailer, Raees trailer stylishly transports you to the 80s.

The scene with a roller being run over lakhs of alcohol bottles gives us a glimpse of the stylish direction of the film. So does the various other shots, including the intense close-ups of Shah Rukh Khan. The national award winning director has really made our expectations high with this first trailer.

Shah Rukh undeniably is the highlight of the trailer. Whether you are an SRK fan or not, you just can’t ignore this intense looking Shah Rukh Khan. Those kohl-lined menacing eyes, the glasses, the smirk, the pathani suit – SRK is killing it as a bootlegger in the trailer.

Well, all we have to say is Raees ka time shuru hogaya hai, expect fireworks in January 2017.
