2. Raja Ampat, Indonesia
Raja Ampat is an archipelago of 1500 small islands that are surrounded by gorgeous seascape. It is also part of the coral triangle that has the richest marine diversity on earth. Over 600 species of hard corals and 1700 species of reef fish can be found here. Home to various endangered marine species such as blue whales, orca or killer whale, and Dugongs (marine mammal), this place is a must visit for divers.

3. Sipadan Island, Malaysia
From sharks like hammerhead and leopard to ray-finned barracuda, you will see them all. Formed by living corals that grew on top of a volcanic cone and took thousands of years to develop, Sipadan has a rich marine habitat. The dives per day are limited to just 120 and hence it is necessary to get your Sipadan diving permit in advance. Your entire trip may need a lot of planning but it’ll all be worth it.  
Best Time To Visit: Accessible all throughout the year but the best time to vist would be from mid-December to mid-January. 
4. Great Barrier Reef, Australia
Think spectacular visibility, sun-soaked beaches and thousands of sea creatures. The largest coral reef in the world, the Great Barrier Reef is an exceptional location. With wildlife that includes green sea turtles, dolphins, humpback whale and clown fish, diving here would be the best experience of your life. Snorkelling, scuba diving, glass-bottomed boat-viewing and helicopter rides are all popular tourist attractions here.

5. Kovalam, India
Kovalam in Kerala, India is a popular scuba diving spot with soft sand, clear water and enticing marine life. Bond Safari Kovalam, a company that uses bond submarine or an underwater scooter instead of the traditional scuba gear, is also famous and makes for a great experience. Box fish, pipe fish, sergeants, groupers etc. can all be spotted here.

6. Palawan, Philippines 
With clean water that helps the marine life thrive, you can spot colourful fishes, unicorn nurse sharks and even blue spotted ribbontail ray (species of stingray). Puerto-Princesa Subterranean River National Park and Tubbataha Reef Marine Park in Palawan have both been declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites for their biodiverse ecosystem. With a high density of marine species you can also spot several marine turtles and birds along with pristine coral reef.
