F1 in Singapore: Partying with RannVijay & Johnnie Walker

For many, Singapore is the most lively race on the Formula 1 calendar –it is a night race through the streets of Singapore and the surrounding atmosphere is just electric. This year is an especially interesting race because the Sebastian Vettel vs. Lewis Hamilton championship battle is tantalizingly close and Singapore is a golden opportunity for the Ferrari team to bag some valuable points. Apart from the action on track, there’s plenty happening off track as well. Singapore is renowned for the various after-parties that get going once the chequered flag drops, and fans switch mode to a different kind of fun (with RannVijay Singha at the fore of things!)

Here, we tell you about the hottest after-parties at the Singapore Grand Prix this year and what you should look forward to:

Amber Lounge, the official F1 after-party: This is exactly where you go if you want to rub shoulders with the legends from the F1 paddock (including some drivers) as it is the the original and world's most exclusive Grand Prix after-party. There’s a whole lot of champagne, revelry and fun. Past guests include Prince Harry, Justine Bieber and David Beckham – how’s that for super exclusive? The ultra-luxe original F1 after-party celebrates 10 years at Singapore Grand Prix this year, so look out for some special celebrations.

Johnnie Walker Grand Prix World: F1’s official whisky, Johnnie Walker, is hosting a grand extravaganza this weekend with five raging parties at iconic F1 circuit cities all around the world. Each event will themed according to the F1 host city it is celebrating. The  parties will be held at Shanghai Dolly (Shanghai) and Magic Carpet (Abu Dhabi), but if you cannot make it for those, tonight's parties will be held at Altimate (Monte Carlo), Baliza (Sao Paulo) and Zouk (Singapore). How exciting is this?! The awesome RannVijay Singha will be leading the party in Singapore, and he also met F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso as part of the #JoinThePact intiative. Here are some inside glimpses!

The Podium Lounge: Now back for its ninth year, the Podium Lounge - located just 200m away from the F1 Pit Building at the five-star Ritz Carlon Hotel – promises a rocking party. Hosted by former F1 driver Giancarlo Fisichella and 2014 Miss Universe Indonesia Maria Rahajeng, the star-studded event will feature musical performances by Grammy Award winners Coolio and Macy Gray.

Party in the Sky: Party with a view to kill at Singapore’s famous and much-loved high-rise bar, 1-Altitude (the world’s highest alfresco bar). Gaze out at the sparkling Singapore city skyline to the beats of Estonian DJ Madison Mars. He joins the weekend line-up of Leonard Tan, Jack T, Deejay Lorri and X-treme.

Another high-rise bar not to be missed; CÉ LA VI, located right next to the famed infinity pool at the Marina Bay Sands, offers a bird’s eye view of the street circuit. Lexer and Fred Everythingwill be on the DJ decks as F1 fans check out the life-size replica of a Williams Martini open-wheel car/racing simulator.

Concerts: The Singapore Grand Prix is well known for the musical acts which coincide with the race – and this year is no different. Various big names including Calvin Harris, Duran Duran, The Chainsmokers (on their maiden performance in Singapore) will take the stage.
