Yauatcha took London by storm when it opened doors there in 2004. Within its first year of business, the Chinese tea-house-styled eatery had already bagged a Michelin star. It took a few more years for the über-luxe specialty restaurant to establish an outpost in Mumbai, but when Yauatcha finally set up shop in the Bandra-Kurla business district, the posh set was particularly pleased.
Over the years, we have come to love their delicate dim-sum and mouth-watering macaroons — as have the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Shilpa Shetty, Bipasha Basu and designer Neeta Lulla. It helps that the entirely affable Kishor Bajaj fronts the eatery’s India foray; after all, his hospitality is revered by the country’s power brokers and beautiful faces alike. Now, with restaurants in Bengaluru, New Delhi and Kolkata as well, Yauatcha continues to go places (both literally and figuratively, of course).
Having already hosted many a celebrity celebration — Neha Dhupia’s birthday last year and Nishka Lulla’s impending wedding spring to mind — this month Yauatcha is giving patrons one more reason to raise a toast within its tasteful confines. From April 16 to May 15, Yauatcha Mumbai is offering up an exotic array of new summer cocktails, with names like ‘Na-Real,’ ‘Begum’ and ‘SPF 2015.’ Sounds like another cool, cool summer, Yauatcha-style!
