Audi takes a bow, as the Q7 looks to be their encore!

With every new product launch comes a ‘new, improved’ tag. It’s not true of every new product though, but it certainly seems the case with Audi’s Q7 update for 2016. This is the leaner and meaner version of a much-loved SUV and Audi-fans should keep their eyes peeled for news on its release.

From the folks at Audi we hear that the global marketing team is patting themselves on the back this month, thanks to a significant increase in worldwide sales — with the first quarter already showing a 6.1 per cent increase, as compared to the same period last year. Brazil leads the pack with a cumulative increase of 28.9 percent versus last year’s figures. While sales in Russia have dropped 26 per cent within the same period for obvious reasons, Europe and Asia (particularly South Korea) are recording robust highs. This March, say Audi’s recently-released figures, they have delivered more automobiles in a single month than they have ever done before. Now, with sales climbing for an enviable 63 months in a row, the arrival of the Q7 can only make things better.

Ditching curves for angles, and weight for fuel efficiency, the 2016 version of the Q7 is generating a great deal of interest. It is slightly shorter and narrower than the outgoing model, but can boast of more generous interiors for passengers and cargo. Ticking all the right boxes, the beautiful new Q7 is high on our list of priorities for the coming year. If you like it too, we’d recommend you get in line!
