If you haven’t seen Ranveer Singh in his latest avatar as the ‘Frontline Man,’ stop this instant and change that. You have simply got to weigh in on the most hilarious commercial we’ve seen in a while. From his ‘dhadakta dil’ — loosely translated as ‘muscled man-boobs’ — and red underwear, to his hairy pits, Ranveer puts it all out there; presenting a pitch for Rupa Frontline as you have never seen it before.
As he builds the Taj Mahal (albeit with sand) and bashes a shark senseless (it’s probably rubber), ‘Raja Baba’ Ranveer has a bevy of beauties enthralled by his antics. It is not to be taken lightly that the new ‘Frontline Man’ represents the Gen-Now superhero: he can play cricket with his gluteal muscles, he’s not afraid to walk on the wild side and he can rap like a pro while he’s at it!
If there ever was a pitch for ‘out with the old, in with the bold,’ this is it. As a marketing mantra, creative houses appear to be hard-selling this thought right about now, but Rupa throws down the gauntlet with this minute-long and brilliantly mental commercial.
Finally, whether you love it or hate it will be subjective of course, but the hard-to-ignore Ranveer makes the ‘Frontline Man’ entirely impossible to overlook. Besides, after ‘Ranveer Ching’ and the ‘Deadly Bugger’ production that was his ‘Do The Rex’ campaign, today’s royal challenge appears to be simple: how much bolder can this beefy Bollywood boy get?
