Never let it be said that Shah Rukh Khan doesn’t settle his dues. He may be a megastar now, but Bollywood’s reigning 'Baadshah' was once just a passionate aspiring actor like so many youngsters are today.
Though it was a long time ago, SRK has not forgotten the people who propped him up in his early days and helped him achieve the perch from which he now plays mentor to a new generation. “1 interview by Nishi Prem, made me a star,” SRK posted on his Twitter page a few hours ago, timed perfectly with the morning papers, where he graces the front page with debutante Saahil Prem. The good-looking bloke in a blue hoodie is the son of former ‘Cineblitz’ editor Nishi Prem and, on August 22, he makes a box office appearance as the actor/director of ‘Mad About Dance’ (MAD).
“Honesty, hard work and generosity of heart will take you a long way,” SRK told Saahil, when the first schedule of MAD got underway. It’s a sentiment mum Nishi has lived by too — one she certainly must have ingrained in son Saahil.
“I wish Saahil all my love & luck for MAD. My friend Nishi I never thanked u,” Shah Rukh signs off. Well, as thanks go, this counts as a big one!
