Sania Mirza : Last day today!

Sania Mirza may be a volatile vixen between serves and volleys, but off-court she’s a softie. About a month ago she proved the point by donating an autographed Wilson tennis racquet to the good folks at PeTA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), in aid of their ‘Animal Rahat’ campaign. Proceeds from the auction of her racquet will be used to provide ailing working animals (who may be lame, sick or injured), with life-saving rest and veterinary care.

The last we checked, bids had hit just over $1,000. The racquet is only available on ebay until late this evening, so there has never been a better time for Sania fans to put their money where their mouth is. After all, this lovely lady is India’s highest-ranked female tennis player in history and, if that isn’t reason enough to shell out big bucks, the cause that benefits from your extravagance is more than worthy!

Head over to Ebay to place your bid.
