Restaurant critic and foodie-at-large, Rashmi Uday Singh is known for her gastronomic adventures all around the world. One week she’s eating at a quaint Parisian bistro and the next she’s sampling sidewalk fare in the bylanes of Byculla. But even though she’s chowing down so much amazing food, Singh stays slim and chic as she dines with VIPs for her column in a leading newspaper — leaving other kilo-carrying mortals green with envy.
Now, however, it seems all that eating has finally caught up with her. After a book launch in Goa last month, Singh took ill with a tummy bug. We hear she’s been on antibiotics for several weeks, though the health conscious author is trying acupuncture to accelerate her recovery as well. While she recuperates, the country’s newest eateries will have to wait a while longer for Rashmi’s verdict. In the meantime, we wish her well.
