The irony of Paul Walker’s tragic death in a car accident this weekend cannot be overstated. Famous for his role in street-racing action film ‘The Fast and The Furious,’ Paul passed away in the passenger seat of a red Porsche Carrera GT on Saturday. The car, being driven by Walker’s buddy and business associate Roger Rodas, collided with a tree during a charity car show in California — killing both men on impact.
A statement by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office previously suggested, “speed was a factor” in the accident, but Lt. John Rush of the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station has since clarified: “It looks like speed could’ve been a factor, but we haven’t made an official determination for the cause of the accident, which will take some time.” Rodas is survived by a wife and two children, while Paul’s 15-year-old daughter, Meadow, was present at the fundraiser that eventually ended in her father’s fatal car crash.
