Hollywood’s Highest Paid Actors
Forbes magazine has published its annual list of highest paid actors and, expectedly, the veritable who’s-who of Hollywood feature. Scroll through our photo-story for details on the year’s top 10.
#10: Liam Neeson
He doesn’t make headlines as often as George Clooney, but Liam Neeson is winning in the race that matters — having raked in more money than Casanova Clooney at the box office this year. Films like Taken and The Grey are largely to be credited for his $32 million haul.

#09: Denzel Washington
He took a significant salary cut to star in Flight, a film about an airline pilot battling addiction issues. Denzel believed in the script and opted for profit participation instead. He ended up bagging his sixth Oscar nomination and making a killing in back end dues, securing a tidy $33 million and the ninth spot on this list!

#08: Tom Cruise
Talk about a fall from grace. Last year, Tom topped the Forbes list with an impressive $75 million in estimated earnings. This year, his tally stands at $35 million — a whopping $40 million less. But he still makes the list — which is more than Brad Pitt can boast of.

#07: Adam Sandler

#06: Leonardo DiCaprio
The Great Gatsby — also starring our very own Amitabh Bachchan — made a fortune on Leo’s handsome coattails, and while his earrings for the Baz Luhrmann film don’t compare to his Titanic triumph, it still secures him a comfortable spot on this list at $39 million.

#05: Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson
This former wrestler’s rise to fame has been fast and furious, just like the film franchise he stars in. With $46 million in his kitty for Fast & Furious 6 and G.I. Joe: Retaliation, it’s safe to say The Rock is flexing his muscles on the Forbes list!

#04: Mark Wahlberg
With a Transformers movie coming up and a surprise hit in 2012’s Ted, Mark Wahlberg makes the list with $52 million for the year.

#03: Hugh Jackman
If he could rake in money for his bulging biceps alone, Hugh Jackman would top this list. Instead, it has taken some singing and dancing to do so: musical Les Miserables has contributed significantly to his $55 million for the year. And he still has another outing as Wolverine on the anvil!

#02: Channing Tatum
He put his money where his mouth is for Magic Mike and the bet paid off big-time. Along with filmmaker Steven Soderbergh, Channing Tatum raked in a fortune when the film (based partially on Tatum’s past as a male stripper) boomed at the box office. He’s sitting pretty at Number 2 with $60 million as a result!

#01: Robert Downey Jr.
Iron Man is larger-than-life and Robert Downey Jr. — who ably wears his suit in the film franchise — is no less. With a staggering $75 million for the year, he is Hollywood’s highest paid actor… not to mention its sexiest superhero!
