Kunal Kapoor : Animal Lover

Kunal Kapoor may not be burning up the box office with regularity, but he’s ever-popular with the ladies. And as if being gorgeous wasn’t winning him enough brownie points, now he is stealing hearts by reaching out to protect little fluffy creatures who can’t speak up for themselves.

Our friends at Humane Society International’s India chapter tell us Kunal is flexing his muscles in favour of their Be Cruelty-Free campaign and has urged Ghulam Nabi Azad (Minister of Health and Family Welfare) to ban the import of cosmetics that have been tested on animals in other countries.

To get his message across, the actor used the soon-to-be-discontinued telegram service and here’s what he said: “Honourable Minister, I am so proud that India has banned the cruel and unnecessary practice of testing cosmetics on live animals. However, if we don’t allow such cruelty in our laboratories, we should not allow it on our shop shelves either. Please make India a cruelty-free cosmetics zone with an import ban on animal-tested cosmetics.” A hunk with a heart. Awwww.
