That Shah Rukh Khan has a massive fan following across the globe should come as no surprise to anybody. Over the years, he has headlined international shows in Malaysia, Sydney, Dubai and even Frankfurt — performing to packed stadiums and living up to the title of being ‘Temptation’ tours. This year, with Farah Khan’s film ‘Happy New Year’ taking up a lot of his time, SRK appears to be killing two birds with one stone. Come September, the megastar will jet off to the States and Canada with the cast of Farah’s film, and together they will perform in Houston, New Jersey, Toronto, Chicago, Vancouver and San Jose.

Deepika Padukone and Yo Yo Honey Singh, who have toured internationally with SRK before, will know what to expect when this motley crew jets off on what is being touted as the “biggest Bollywood extravaganza” ever. Malaika Arora Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood, Vivaan Shah and Kanika Kapoor make up the numbers, with director/choreographer Farah Khan in attendance as well.

“We promise you an evening of love, laughter and entertainment,” says Shah Rukh, in his recently-released invitation to fans across the Atlantic.Well, because the Bollywood‘baadshah’ is performing in the US after a gap of 10 years, we’re sure the response to this tour will be phenomenal. The only thing we’re concerned about is the tour’s name: calling it ‘SLAM! THE TOUR’ is dicey, isn’t it? If something does happen to go wrong, the critics will ‘slam’ it!
