Find Out What Leaves ‘Avengers’ Star Robert Downey Jr. At A Loss For Words!
As ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ rakes in the big bucks at cinema halls across the globe this April, Robert Downey Jr. should be brimming with confidence. Yet, the ‘Iron Man’ star has found himself at a loss for words on more than one occasion this month — for vastly disparate reasons. Earlier this week, the Hollywood star stormed out of an interview with a British TV presenter when questioned about his past wild ways. “What are we doing? It’s all getting a bit Diane Sawyer,” Robert muttered before walking off the set in a huff.
Earlier in the month, however — on the happy occasion of his fiftieth birthday — Downey Jr. was left speechless when asked to join jazz-rock band Steely Dan on the stage to sing ‘Reelin’ in the Years’. Revealing details from what was obviously a rocking ‘unfake’ night, Robert told David Letterman that legends Duran Duran opened for Steely Dan at his birthday bash. “I was stoked,” he said, about having them play for him and then on being asked to sing alongside. Of course, when he finally got up to sing for guests at his own party, the actor found himself battling a serious case of stage fright! “I forgot the words because I was a little excited to be up on stage with Steely Dan,” he laughs. Of course ‘Iron Man’ always has a trick in his ‘armoury,’ as does Robert. He may not have rocked the song, but he certainly managed a convincing lip-sync!
