There’s a thrill about riding a bike that only a biker knows—the wind in your face and the open road. Hi! Blitz gets celebrities to chat about their mean machines..
Dino Morea, actor
“I’ve always ridden a bike since I was a kid and I’ve had different bikes through the years—right now I own a Harley-Davidson. The joy of riding a bike is really the freedom that comes with it, that carefree feeling. When I was in Bangalore I used to take part in biker races, which were great fun. I recently went for a ride in Delhi with the Harley-Davidson club. My brother has an Enfield Bullet and occasionally we swap bikes.”
Navin Ansal, entrepreneur
“Biking has been a passion of mine since a very young age. A superbike can do marvellous things; it can be a cruiser as well as a sports bike. My superbike, a 2300cc Triumph Rocket III, is fast and riding it on the highway is thrilling.”
Akshay Kumar, actor
“When it comes to men and machines, we can’t help it! I love my bike because I can put my helmet on and no one knows who I am or where I’m going—it’s just me, myself and an open road (only at 4am of course).”
Gul Panag, actor
“The thrill of having a relationship with a machine, whether it’s my Enfield or my car, is very special to me. It’s something that becomes a part of your passion and not just a vehicle for getting from one point to another. I treat it like any of my other relationships—like with my brother or husband. Every Sunday is spent tinkering with my machines, oiling and polishing them.”
Ambika Sharma, CEO, Pulp Strategy Communications
“My holiday doesn’t start when I reach my destination, it begins when I kick-start my Harley. I’ve owned this 1700cc Harley-Davidson Road King for a little less than a year now and my biking expeditions have only been fabulous with it.”
Atul Kapur, executive director, Flowers Forever
“I believe life is what you make of it and my Harley-Davidson and I have made a pretty good journey of it so far. I’ve owned this beauty for a year now. Prior to this, I had a Road King Classic that I rode for six years. I love biking on mountains and dusty roads with my Harley baby.”
