About Stand Up Comedian: Aditi Mittal
Rising as ‘one of those’ participants in open-mics around the country, Aditi Mittal initially joined Vir Das’ troupe and was a part of the Cardinal Bengans, India’s first ever English improv comedy troupe. She rose to fame after regular shows at the Comedy Store and attained widespread popularity after Khamba confessed to searching online for ‘hot pics’ of her in the AIB Knockout (not really!).
She was one of the 5 Indians who performed at the Indians-only show ‘Local Heroes’ at the Comedy Store alongside Tanmay Bhat. Besides this, she has appeared on CNN-IBN’s ‘Phenking News’, the comedy documentary ‘Stand-Up Planet’ and the Weirdass-written comedy special ‘RIPping the Decade’. Her Youtube works include Dolly Khurana and Sex-Ed teacher Mrs. Lutchuke.
Besides her stand-up career, she is a teacher and writer who has written columns for several publications, such as Grazia Men, DNA, Firstpost & the Financial Times (UK) to name a few.
With her content being described as ‘cutting edge and caustic’, Mittal’s brand of jokes are unabashed and directed at the things we don’t talk about. She targets everything from sanitary napkins to Indian men. Being one of the few female comics to have held her own, her jokes get her brickbats, bouquets, and subscribers!
