Show review: Drashta
Dreamy and delightful! An enchanting nod to Spring, Drashta brought the softness of petals and the lightness of breeze to her Signature International Fashion Weekend 2013 show — with a collection that was as international as they come. Indian influences like multi-coloured ikat made an appearance, only to be elevated to a level of Parisian perfection with the addition of lace overlays and delicate floral details. From ivory pants to sparingly-jewelled skirts in muted candy colours, Drashta played with a subtle palette of Spring shades, punctuated by cleverly injected neon accents. Her desirable dresses ranged from unforgivably form-fitting to flirty frocks that swished about the knees in a feminine fashion. Small bursts of delicious colour — lime green in particular — made this bouquet of blossoms a real treat. And when her blacks and whites came out to play (worn by a handful of leggy lasses including showstopper Diana Penty), they simply blew our mind away. ABSOLUTELY LUST-WORTHY: Almost everything. For a woman looking for chic daywear or a classic cocktail gown, Drashta is certainly our new go-to girl.
