Zam [a.k.a Zaheer Qureshi]

Zam a.k.a Zaheer Qureshi, age28, originally from Bhopal

Zam loves to think of himself as a rebel beatnik. Although he enjoys all the perks on consumer culture (Eats a McD burger every day and watches a film only at multiplexes). He earns just as much to sustain himself. Engineering drop-out. Kind of suffers from the ‘Golden Age Syndrome’. Wishes he were born in the US in the late '50s. Not much is divulged about his family. Works as an Illustrator for the most happening social media company in Mumbai. Keeps quoting communist intelligentsia. Spends from his nose to stay in a rat hole at Carter Road because he feels ‘inspired’ by the surrounding there.

He’s the only illustrator or so-called ‘artist’ in a team full of ambitious BBA freshers. That’s a cause for him for either feeling artistically superior to everyone else or lacking respect in office & growth in life. Friends have sometimes benefited from his advice. But strangely, he has not been able to do much good in his own life with all that wisdom! He has a strict guy as boss, who is a stickler about punctuality and discipline - something Zam has never given importance in life. With initial fights, they both start respecting each other’s ways and style after a while.
