Indian Football fans: We have an outlet that screens your favourite team’s matches

Where would a football fan head to, to catch all the excitement at its peak during a match? It isn’t possible for everyone to physically attend a match at Emirates or Antfield stadium, and witnessing the excitement all by yourself or just a couple of friends at home, may not be as much fun. What comes to a close second? Where you can chant, cheer or down a pint in celebration with your ilk, cuss at the opposition, and when the excitement reaches a frenzy, not be judged for singing the club anthem loud enough to drown the sound of a space shuttle at T minus 0 seconds… and be joined by others to join the chorus.

A football fan sitting thousands of miles away can come closest to this collective, sometimes transcendental experience,  only at the local supporters club or outlet. With the popularity of English football clubs and their marquee players growing each day, matches are aired at godly hours, which has given birth to a new era of fan clubs in the country.

The four big English clubs - Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea - all have one or more active supporters clubs and outlets operating across Indian cities.

Ooh! To… Ooh! To be...Ooh! To be a...GOONER!

b) Liverpool - The Irish House and Zouk Bar & Grill

You’ll never walk alone

c) Manchester United - 3 Wise Monkeys

Glory! Glory! Man United!

d) Chelsea - Zouk Bar & Grill

Blue is the colour. Football is the game.
We are all together. Winning is our aim.
So cheer us on. Through the sun and rain.
For Chelsea, Chelsea is our name.

These aren’t just arbitrary gatherings at footy friendly pubs or sporadic matches on dusty pitches. This is serious business, where the main requirement is unwavering passion for the club, and not just during the good times.
