Vladivar Vodka Mixology Event at Geoffrey's 20th June

We reached Geoffrey's a little early around 8:45 to meet Ami and learn some skills. The crowed was chilled out and was in a relaxed mood, enjoying their evening. The big bottle of Vladivar Vodka caught my eye in an instant.

I entered the bar after having a Whiskey Sour made from Royal Challenge Whiskey. Ami asked for my preferences for cocktail and we decided upon Blue Lagoon ( Blue Lemonade Electric Lemonade ) along with Cosmopolitan and we started off with Cosmopolitan.

So, here's what you need to do. Take a large glass fill it with Ice and pour 45ml of Vladivar Vodka and about 15ml of Cointreau with some lime juice. Add a slice of fresh lime. Shake it well. Pour it in to a Martini Glass after filtering. There is a recommend way to use the shaker. Place the shaker on top of the large glass in a tilting position such that it tilts towards your side. Hold the glass in left hand and press the shaker from the right hand. Keep shaking!

Next came the much awaited cocktail, the Blue Lagoon. I always wanted to learn this to make some cocktails for my wife. So here's how you make it. Take a large glass filled with Ice. Pour 60ml of Vladivar Vodka with some lice juice and sugar syrup. Add from Blue Corroco about 10 ml and a slice of fresh lime. Shake well, pour it in to a large glass and top it with Sprite. I always wondered how do bar tenders pour 60ml straight from the bottle without a measurer. All you need to do is count from 1001 to 1004 twice if pouring straight from bottle and count from 1001 to 1003 twice if pouring from a bottle having a metal cap.

What came next was a shocker. Ami was happy the way I learned making the cocktails. So she offered me to teach me another one, the one which I love the most, the Whiskey Sour. Pour 60ml of Whiskey Royal Challenge in to a large glass filled with Ice. Add about 30ml of lime juice and a slice of lime. Shake it well and pour it in to a Whiskey glass. Thats it, so simple.

When my wife tasted Blue Lagoon, she really liked it. Around 10:00PM Geoffrey's was filled with people. There were people every where sitting, standing, having fun even in the lawn. Tuhin had kicked off playing some amazing tunes. We really enjoyed the party!
