Time Travel At Indigo- Retro Night with DJ Jack
Think of old world romanticism and mix it up with the flavours of South Bombay and what you get is Indigo in Colaba! The tunes rocking the jukebox were from the retro ages of the 70s- a wonderful blast from the past. Perfect indeed for those who decided to take a pause from their busy schedules and unwind. REWINDIGO Retro Night saw DJ Jack on the console spinning tunes which takes one back to an age where living by the rules were a myth and and lifestyle was being redefined.
Indigo, a restaurant with an ambience that takes you back to the simplicity of the times, was definitely the perfect setting for setting the floor on fire.Old world classics, which revolved around women named Joanna or Carol, were the crowd favourites of the night. The lighting that beautifully surrounded the open air decor as well as the dance floor made one feel like they were in a world which was away from today’s fast world. You could just listen to the tunes and dance the night away.
As was evident from the crowd that kept pouring in during the night, it was hard not to move to the beat the moment you walked in through those doors DJ Jack’s addictive tunes got people getting up from the middle of their meals and dancing to the tunes which brought back a thousand memories.
The best part of retro music is that it reminds you of a time that was just simpler, where you could just be yourself. It was evident amongst the crowd that when they heard these tunes of the 70s they were transported back to a time where life was easier and they just wanted to stay there. Coupled with that was the exhaustive menu of gastronomical wonders that Indigo offers and the crowd was in heaven all together.
DJ Jack, the maestro of retro music, made sure there wasn’t a dull moment in the house by playing hits like Hands up, Staying Alive and Hope, Joanna! back to back. It was hard to resist not moving yourself to the beat of the song when DJ Jack dished out the best classics of the day. All in all, retro night with DJ Jack at Indigo was the great way to take a pause and celebrate a weekend of nostalgia and good times!
