Pune: Graciously Fun, Even In Defeat
Pune, however, wasted no time in mourning their loss, as they got ready for a night of partying and insane fun at the Signature After Match Party in the Westin Hotel. Even though it was 11pm before the guests of honour started arriving, the atmosphere was charged with high spirits and excitement from much earlier.
As one would expect from a Signature party, there were beautiful people everywhere, from models to socialites. But no one grabbed as much attention as the White Mischief Cheerleaders, who arrived early and kept the crowd entertained. They took pictures, danced and laughed as they mingled with the crowd, who were only too happy to oblige the hot girls!
Pune is a city well known for throwing the most glamorous parties, and this one was no different. The dress code for the evening may as well have been ‘Little Black Dress’, because most of the beautiful women were wearing them. Not that I’m complaining, of course. Far from it, I think I speak on behalf of every guy there when I say it was these very ladies in their little black dresses that got the party started!
Once the cricketers began arriving, the party well and truly began. The first guest to arrive was the great Sunil Gavaskar, followed soon after by Wayne Parnell, who was sporting a very relaxed, cool look, complete with baseball cap, shorts and sneakers. He was definitely one of the most fashionable people at the event, and everyone scrambled to get a few seconds of face-time with him.
Soon after, the crowd was entertained with a kick-ass fashion show, where we finally got to see all the models who were walking around the party show us what they could do. And finally, the pièce de résistance, the White Mischief girls took to the stage and had the crowds mesmerised by their performance. Even the cricketers caught the dancing bug and jumped on stage.
All this while of course, it was the DJ and bartenders who were my real heroes, as they kept the crowd high on some great music and cool drinks through the night, all behind the scenes. Take a bow, guys!
