Chargers celebrate in style at 'Rain'
The evening started with drinks being served to everyone. All hell broke loose when the cricketers walked in. Ashish Reddy, the star of the match was appreciated by many for his excellent bowling. Chris Lynn and Rusty Theron started having some fun like always. These guys work hard at the office and party harder. Akash Bhandari, Ravi Teja, Jhunjhunwala, Tanmay Mishra and Parthiv Patel were also present. The fashion show started with famous designer Ritu Pandey’s collection being showcased. She presented her summer spring collection and they were terrific. Everyone was looking at the stage when her name was announced and suddenly a woman beside me walked on to the stage. I was standing right next to her and didn’t realize who she was!
This event was followed by a performance by the white mischief cheerleaders. As usual, they performed brilliantly. This was going to be the last time I was going to watch them perform this season. They had some excellent moves and they burned the floor with their stunts. I will miss them dearly. Some of the cricketers were called on to the dais to dance with the cheerleaders. Ashish Reddy was invited first and while he felt shy some of his colleagues were very happy to dance. Actor Siddharth was also invited on to the stage.
The collection of the second designer was presented next. Pallavi Jaipur presented her collection which was inspired from the colours of the Rajasthan desert. Every model looked stunning in multiple colours which fade in and give rise to another colour. The Royal Challengers Bangalore cheerleaders performed for the audience. The audience applauded and whistled. I had never seen the RCB cheerleaders perform except in the stadiums. They did some impossible moves before waving goodbye to the crowd.
The party went on with amazing tunes being played all through the night. We kept dancing like mad and came back home with body aches and headaches. It was our way saying goodbye to a fantastic season of the IPL. These parties will surely be missed.
