The musical evening began as the patrons started entering the venue @ Radisson, New Delhi. They were greeted by representatives from Kingfisher at the registration desk, which was followed by two fabulous bars by Black Dog, where the free flowing conversations, calm atmosphere and lightheartedness helped the crowd relax and get into the mood for the evening ahead of them.
We then walked down the corridor leading to the venue of the performance - an enormous ballroom beautifully lit up in blue! We took our seats as the lights went out and soft music got everyone into the right mood for the expressions of music that were to follow. People from all walks of life had came together to unwind to the enthralling, soul stirring tunes by the four guitar maestros. Dylan Fowler from UK, Frank Wingold from Germany, Dave Goodman from UK and Eric Vaarzon Morel from Netherlands performed a blend of finger picking, Jazz, Blues and Flamenco.
First to perform for the evening was Frank Wingold. He set the atmosphere with Flamenco. Highlight of his performance, was one particular tune that he had composed for his son on his first day to the kindergarten. The song simply stole the audience's hearts. Next was Dave Goodman, a splendid entertainer, and amidst his impressive finger picking he found time to crack a few jokes and keep the crowd going. Even resorting to German at some points! Then it was the turn for Eric Vaarzon Morel, who was simply a delight to hear, and entertained the audience with a bout of tap dancing that was truly magnificent. And last but not least was Dylan Fowler who again was simply wonderful. Then what followed was duets by the maestros that the audience absorbed with relaxed pleasure. And finally a performance by all of them together. The night couldn't have been any better! After the performances the hostess, who had been fabulous throughout, came on stage and announced a lucky draw with exciting giveaways. Return tickets to Bangkok, an autographed guitar and a 18 year old special edition of Black Dog. The winners were delighted and surprised at their luck. The prizes were truly wonderful and the evening one to be remembered. Hats off to Black Dog for putting up such an amazing event.
