The guests were welcomed by pretty Kingfisher hostesses who registered everyone for a lucky draw and also handed them a collectors' edition music CD consisting of the wonderful music they would be hearing that day, so that they would have a very valuable souvenir of the evening. The cocktail party also began at the same time and guests, dignitaries and celebrities were seen enjoying Black Dog whisky with yummy starters from the Taj Vivanta kitchen. This set the mood for the relaxed and chilled out evening that was to follow.
Once the clock struck half past 8, the hostess Hazel Singh invited all the guests to the actual show performance venue. Once the guests were seated, Hazel introduced the four Guitar maestros to the audience and spoke about how they will be enthralling the audience with their performances that night.
Frank Wingold started the evening's performance by playing solo jazz pieces in his characteristic flair. He was joined later by Dave Goodman who played blues and sensitive ballads. Dylan Fowler amazed the audience next with his finger picking style. He was later joined by Eric Vaarzon Morel who played explicit flamenco pieces. The vibes between both the maestros was amazing and they jammed together effortlessly without any kind of qualms.
The crowd really got onto their feet when Frank, Dave, Eric and Dylan joined hands at the end of the evening to create a wonderful performance which left the crowd wanting for more! In fact the crowd's enthusiastic appeal for an encore bought the four talented guitarists back onto the stage for a spell-bounding finale!
The evening ended with the hostess Hazel Singh announcing the winners of the lucky draw who won amazing prizes like return tickets to Dubai, 18 year old special edition of Black Dog & the most amazing gift of them all - an autographed guitar signed by all the maestros themselves! It was a fitting end to a perfectly relaxed easy evening organised by the best selling scotch whisky in India, Black Dog!
