Beats from Brazil
So, we all know that the FIFA World Cup is happening in Brazil, unless you're living under a rock or you are in fact a rock. Without getting into much detail about this paradise country, I can honestly tell you have to go there at least once in your life and experience everything - the culture, cuisine, fashion and the music. Especially the music. Brazilian Music has many variations, some of which you will experience today.
Sepultura - Ratamahatta
One of the most influential Metal Bands in the scene comes straight out of the heart of Brazil. Incorporating jungle beats into their music makes this band truly unique whilst giving everyone a taste of Brazil!
Banda Black Rio - Back to the Project
Right out of Rio, this experimental band is predominantly funk but also dabbles with samba, jazz and Brazilian folk sounds. This amalgamation of different sounds sets these guys apart from the other and is always worth the listen.
Astrud Gilberto & Stan Getz - The Girl from Ipanema
Possibly the most famous song to come out of Brazil, The Girl from Ipanema is one of those classic hits you can never forget. Composed by Antonio Carlos Jobim, this Bossa Nova song made it to the US Top 100s and even won a Grammy. Do listen to this one!
Many more such amazing artistes come out of Brazil, but most of the lyrics are in Portuguese. But music they say has no barriers and one can definitely enjoy these amazing tunes. If you want more, do let us know and we will be back with more Brazilian beats.
