Underground is a famous premium fine-dining restaurant that doubles up as a nightclub late in the evening. The niche decor, cosy ambiance and upscale crowd are elements that help it claim its right as Kolkatas most popular nightclub. The delicious cocktails including Margaritas and Mojitos are a win, and the appetisers including the chicken and seafood starters are very much up to a premium mark. They even have a pool table and seating section where you can chill with your friends and enjoy some classic sheesha. Definitely a recommended place if you are planning on throwing a big party just prepare yourself for an unprecedented splurge of cash while you're there.
Nocturne @ Theatre Road
Maaya Bar stands out for its simple yet elegant interiors. The wooden panelling adds a much-needed touch of class to an otherwise cosy atmosphere. The resident DJ does an excellent job in setting the mood for the party night to follow. For a first time visit, do not leave without trying the Butterscotch Frappe, which you will simply not get enough of. Those looking for some more tried and tested options can go for a peg of Antiquity Whiskey. Like most premium nightclubs in Kolkata, they also have a section reserved for sheesha.

Another one of Kolkatas famous nightclubs, the place has a certain unique buzz in its atmosphere, especially on weekends. Unfortunately on such nights, you may have trouble finding place to stand, such is the popularity of the club. For the hungry party-goers, they have an excellent assortment of vegetarian and non-vegetarian kebabs and other delicious finger foods. In terms of cocktails, definitely try out their classic Long Island Ice Tea. Do take care to dress proper though, as they are very particular on the crowd they let in (as should all proper nightclubs).
