Social is a collaborative workspace, a hub for artists, designers, and innovators. It’s where entrepreneurs meet photographers, writers meet web developers, creative independents meet to bounce ideas off like-minded peers. Social has everything an office has; a boardroom, wall-space and wall-to-wall uber high-speed WiFi. Add to that all the things that make a great restaurant; fantastic comfort food, interesting drinks, and built-in social interaction. And yes, there’s an app for that (in beta). The café has an app that lets you order and review food, check out the restaurant’s playlist (to like and recommend music) and even check in on what the other guests in the space are up to, to allow room for collaboration and interaction between tables. Social looks like it’s straight out of the Meat-Packing District in New York. The most striking of this space is the 20 seater communal table designed to encourage you to make new friends. “The sprawling 6000 sq. ft. space is divided into two ginormous areas; one that’s a spacious ground floor, open to all throughout the day, and the other a dedicated floor, designed to be conducive to work.” says Amit Jambotkar, who heads operations at Social. One could pick and ‘rent’ a table or block off a conference room between 9-6. Here, you’re encouraged to linger all day and all night. Or at least till the deadline kicks in. Social is a space that's yours to use for any kind of project you want to get off the ground. Get your team on board or spend time here by yourself. How you do it is secondary - what’s important, is that you get to do it. Because Social is now open and serving.
